Reliable dry system valves are designed to protect areas subject to freezing. Dry sprinkler systems have compressed air or nitrogen in the system piping and water held below the clapper of the valve. When a fire occurs and sprinklers activate, air or nitrogen pressure is relieved from the system piping causing the valve to open. Water then flows into the system pipe and discharges from the opened sprinklers.

Reliable offers both low and standard pressure dry valves in a variety of sizes, end connections, and pressure ratings. Low-pressure dry systems featuring the Reliable DDX-LP can improve water transit times following the operation of the valve, and in some cases, eliminate the need for a quick opening device.
